 | Ha-ha-ha! Slowly shedding off shyness -- "Writers daw are better read than seen." Maybe I'm feeling more and more like I really belong to this virtual community.
Thank you very much for viewing and as I always say -- May the blessings be! |
 | hmmmm...was this shot in front of a mirror?...ganda po.. |

 | Tell me more about the skirt!! |
 | Sir, Baguio City is the Thrift Shop Capital of this country. There are people in the this so-called "wagwag" or "ukay-ukay" business who sometimes think a skirt won't sell because they thinlk it's outdated or somethin'.
I love those bargains which make ukay-ukay shopping such a fun hobby. I have bought several signature skirts at one-peso.
|
 | My daughter went through a phase in college when shopping thrift gave her clothing that contributed to her singluar identity...we called them vintage clothing; clothing with character. A peso purchase is like a skirt for a buck???
How does wearing clothing previously worn by others contribute to your identity?? |
 | A perso purchase is equivalent to less than $0.03 (cents at the exchange rate of $1=P44 or P45, more or less) A few months back, rates were up to P55 to the dollar.
Identiy should not be a problem if one is creative. There is always individuality in mix-matching styles and accessorizing, etc. (See the ethnic accents.)
My bag in that photo, of course, is a Samsonite -- Go figure.

 | Let me spill the beans. The inner top is just a "tubao" -- a Mindanao kerchief, the size of a handkie. |
 | This time, the "tubao" or kerchief is up on my head. |
