Forebodingly, frankly, straightforwardly, honestly -- I took the picture right at the gates of the Baguio Public Cemetery on the occasion of the burial of Auntie Gerry Mac-liing Hamada, the wife of writer Sinai Hamada and mother of the late writer Steve H.

That looks like the old Baguio I know.

well that's how many lost their residences in the earthquake. Hope fully such does not happen again.

Hmmm. I thought the houses looked familiar...maybe those perched at the Morning Star Rd, Lourdes Subd., viewed from Queen of Peace Rd. Mali ako! Nearer to my neighborhood pala. So this is the side of Victoria Village, Quezon Hill overlooking the sementeryo? Childhood memories of taking the path near Dumaguing's residence down to the sari-sari store along Naguilian Rd as shortcut to get to the cemetery on All Saints' Day. Most of the houses were smaller then. Well, I've grown and so have some of the houses. (And yes, more windows too!)
